Types of Lung Cancer & Detection

Lung cancer is a type of cancer that grows in the lung and affect its functionality. Lung cancer can be of many types and can be detected by a cancer detection test in Delhi. The type of lung cancer affects life expectancy of the patient along with the stage where it was detected.

The common type of lung cancer found in most patients is non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC). It makes up about 80-85% of all the cases. 30% of non-small cell lung cancer cases start in the cells that form the body’s cavities and surfaces lining. This cancer usually forms in the outer lung parts which are known as adenocarcinomas. They can be easily detected in the early state by taking a cancer screening test in Delhi

Next 30% of the cases begins in squamous cell carcinoma, cells that form the lining of the respiratory tract passage. Then there is adenocarcinoma in situ (AIS), which is a rare subset of adenocarcinoma that begins in the tiny air sacs of the lungs. This type of cancer is not aggressive and may not need immediate treatment. But they can be detected at an early stage by taking a cancer detection test in Delhi. The fastest-growing types of NSCLC include large-cell carcinoma and large-cell neuroendocrine.

About 15-20% of lung cancers are found to be small-cell lung cancer (SCLC). They grow and spread much faster than NSCLC. Hence it is important to detect them at an early stage which requires regular cancer screening test in Delhi. Such cancer are more likely to respond to chemotherapy but are less likely to get cured. In very rare cases, lung cancer patients may have both NSCLC and SCLC cells.

Lung cancer can be easily diagnosed with PanTum Detect test which is a unified cancer detection test in Delhi. It can detect almost all type of cancer & tumour at a very nascent stage and increase the chances of survival. It’s a very simple blood test which need to be done on a yearly basis.
